Thayer is located at 41°1'45" North, 94°2'59" West (41.029242, -94.049856)[1].

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 66 people, 26 households, and 15 families residing in the city. The population density was 672.7 people per square mile (254.8/km²). There were 35 housing units at an average density of 356.7 per square mile (135.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.97% White and 3.03% Native American.

There were 26 households out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.2% were married couples living together, none have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.5% were non-families. 26.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.06.

In the city the population was spread out with 25.8% under the age of 18, 12.1% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 18.2% from 45 to 64, and 10.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 112.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.2 males.
